Mussoorie, also known as Queen of the Hills, is among the most popular hill stations of the country. A Britisher, Captain Frederick Young, accompanied by an official named FJ Shore, had climbed up the hill from the Doon valley in 1827 and found this ridge offering great views and a salubrious climate. This visit laid the foundation for this grand hill station.
A captivating paradise for leisure travellers and honeymooners, it is a perfect summer resort. Located on a 15-km-long horseshoe ridge with the grand Himalayas as a backdrop, Mussoorie spreads across at a height of 2,000 m above sea level. From this vantage point, it offers scenic views of Himalayas peaks in Western Garhwal.
About
Each day at the camp is customised to bring out different aspects of a child’s personality and hone them. Children explore nature, visit villages to get a taste of rural lifestyle and live independently, becoming self-reliant. They work in groups and become more accountable and compassionate. Through the days they spend at the camp, they transform to become all-rounded personalities, on their way to achieve success
They Exercise their mind, body and soul
The day begins with a chance for every child to outdo their potential. Exercise and meditation helps children refresh themselves and look at things with a new perspective. Keeping the mind, body, and soul active is habit that will ensure success in life.
They Explore the outdoors
Exploring the outdoors can be an energizing change from the usual comfort of the indoors. This gives children a chance to discover things they are unfamiliar with. They understand how to take on new difficulties and face challenges
They Express themselves freely
Children should be encouraged to think creatively from an early age. It not only makes them solutions oriented but also gives them confidence to express their thoughts. At camp, children are encouraged to discover their latent creativity by making music from scrap, learning different kinds of knots and using paint to adapt their favourite superheroes’ look.
